Owned by the Access Bank Group, the Access Bank PLC is a multinational commercial bank based in Nigeria. In terms of assets, loans, deposits and branch network, Access Bank ranks amongst Nigeria’s five largest banks. Moreover, the Bank’s 2019 acquisition of Diamond Bank, another Nigerian multinational bank, turned Access Bank into Africa’s largest financial services provider.
Access Bank PLC has existed for the past 26 years during which it has turned from a little known Nigerian Bank into a top-notch African Financial institution. Originally a corporate banking institution, one of the Bank’s major turning points came in 2012 when it acquired personal and business banking platforms from the country’s famed International Commercial Bank.
